I am not sure if my mics are bad but the audio Quality always turns out so bad when I use these mics. Because I was so afraid to use them in podcast I started using the audio recording on the iPhone and I cannot tell you how amazing it is!?

But I would like to use the microphones that I bought. Any idea why the quality sound would be so soft and not very audible?

The iPhone SC6 adaptor just provides two sockets that combine to the existing microphone channel in the iPhone, so it can only ever be mono, as that is all the iPhone has.

If your iPhone has a lightning port, use the RØDE SC6-L instead, as that provides stereo mic inputs

The headphone socket on the SC6 cannot be used for monitoring it will only be active in playback mode so you CANNOT live monitor your mics but if you play a specific file it WILL be played back in the headphones BECAUSE it is a play back, this does confuse people into thinking something is wrong but it is simply a concession that most apps don’t allow, possibly for feedback or power consumption reasons, hope that helps.

I just recorded some good videos, however there is no sound! Is there some setting that i should have changed.

I just plugged in the SC6-L Mobile interview kit straight into Iphone X and have no sound. help please

Wooooooow! This is quite great in every way possible!

I never thought of getting things done easily just like this before when it comes to podcasting.

I like the setup with phone, i have found my best way to keep my own podcast rolling sir.

Do we have a recommended update to the Rode SC6 splitter now that newer model iPhones have removed the audio jack socket? My iPhone 6S is on it’s last legs and will need an upgrade soon.

Anyone had luck with finding a way to split the two Smartlav + mics onto their own channels when recorded on the phone? I would be so worried about crosstalk, etc, plus not being able to edit each different vocal separately without a huge hassle to split the vocals. Any ideas here so welcome!
