I’m curious about a headphone output as well. It would be nice to hear exactly what is being recorded through a pair of headphones.

I have used this similar setup but my question is if it is possible to be able to hear yourself in your headphones? I would like to do so to ensure my volume is the same as my guest. Is there a modification that can be done to this setup to allow that?

Quick question- does having 3 people in a Skype conference call make any difference to the sound quality? (2 remote guests, 1 host.) I’m guessing you could only adjust the voices you hear as one output, correct?

It’s helped me understand a bit better than others!

I am however still stumped somewhat… I use a Behringer 1202fx with a U-CONTROL UCA222 audio interface and am looking at doing some pods over Skype. I will be using my computer to not only run skype through but also record through… more than likely Spreaker Studio… am I best using the 1/4 to 3.5mm cables or the 3.5mm jack to 2 x RCA cables, or one of each or both? as it seems I can do away with the interface, or is the interface still needed?

Thanks,

Adam

I purchased a Yamaha MG10XU usb mixer. I haven’t been able to find the best way to set up a mix minus on this board while still using the usb into my MacBook Pro. Can you shed some light here?
Thank you.

In your example of how to set up a mix minus, you said that the mixer (Alesis multimix8 USB) should be selected as the software’s “mic input;” what should be selected as the “output source?”

Hi Victor. Slightly different setup but you can definitely record Skype calls on your 18i8. Will need to get a tutorial done on this when I get a chance.

Nice tutorial!
Can I accomplish this with a Focusrite 18i8?
Or would I still need a mixer also?
