A little less of American-centered view would be appreciated: in Italy Apple Podcast accounts for less than 20% of downloads. My podcast has a 89%-8% rate for Spotify vs Apple.

Yes… I had exactly the same issue with the sticky coating. I’ve had mine for about 7 years. I did fix it cleaning it with rubbing alcohol but it took a bit to remove the stickiness. Good as new now 🙂

I have been podcasting since 2007. At no point, save a small period 2013-2015, has any show I’ve been involved with been considered attractive by advertisers.

Meanwhile, the only platform I know of that enables hosts to find adverts, Podcorn, is so difficult to use that I just don’t bother.

Lisketong to the Podcastage review it seems to have fairly amazing off-axis rejection (where things in front of the mic are loud, and things to the side, or behind, are really quiet)

I started my podcast Writer’s Voice with Francesca Rheannon in 2006. It was so early, I had to explain to people what a podcast is. I called it “TIVO for the Internet.” It features interviews with authors covering a wide range of topics such as literature, politics, and social issues. Still going strong in my 19th season.
