Video Content Creator (YouTube & Podcasting) Job Opening

We’re looking for an energetic, unstoppable content creator to help us create YouTube videos and podcast episodes for our audience. It’s all about being ridiculously helpful and engaging to the people that love our work. Your goal is to attract more fans to our channels, more website visitors and more leads for our products. This role requires excellent content production skills front and centre, creating video in particular. Next, we’re looking for creativity, attention to detail and the ability to manage your own projects.

Important Requirements

✅ You must be living in the Scottish Highlands region, or willing to move, to take on this role.
✅ You must also be a recent college or university graduate: within the last 4 years.
✅ This is initially a fixed 12 month project. If it goes well, the hope is to extend it to a permanent position.

Closing Date

Applications are open until we find the right person (we’ll update here as soon as it closes). Please apply ASAP.

Our core area of work is podcasting: teaching others how to launch, grow and monetise their own show. We publish a range of free resources on a regular basis; we produce YouTube videos, podcast episodes and written materials on a near-daily basis. We also engage on social media, interacting with fans of the website and answering questions. Finally, we support a close network of all-in media creators within our free and paid communities. The community contains courses, resources, live-taught events and in-depth forum support.

We’re looking for someone with experience in online media at a minimum, and preferably in video, podcasting or TV specifically. It’s something we can teach you quickly, though, so if you’re a great video content producer with no podcasting experience, then we still want to hear from you.

The main thing you need to show us is:

  • You have created online video for at least a year, either for your personal interest or in your work, and you can show us this.

Even better, but optional:

  • You have worked to nurture an audience already, even in a small way, and you’d love to do that more.

What are the core areas this job covers?

  • The central skill for this role is video production, with audio production experience alongside.
  • Written skills are also essential: you should be able to write excellent, engaging content, both for the written and the spoken form.
  • Next comes presenting skills, putting yourself across well through the audio and video mediums.
  • Finally, project management, logistics and detail. You’ll be managing a big part of the content output of our company.

Relevant backgrounds for this role include: video producers, content creators, journalists, media or marketing. We’re also interested in radio or audio production experience, as long as you can show really strong creative video skills, too. If you’re something different, but you feel you still meet the requirements below, feel free to apply.
